E-Select is a multicenter, prospective, observational registry  that enrolled consecutive patients treated with only CYPHER SELECT™/ CYPHER SELECT™+ Sirolimus-eluting Coronary Stents at index procedure. The enrollment was completed with 15.175 patients at 320 sites worldwide from 56 countries outside of US and Japan on April 30th 2008. Follow up was planned at 1, 6,  12, 36 and 60 months and the first results were presented at EuroPCR 2009 in Barcelona (6 months follow up). The primary endpoint of the e-Select registry was defined as ARC definite +probable stent thrombosis @ 3 years. Enrolled in the registry were all-comers patients.

The registry was sponsored by Cordis, a Johnson&Johnson company. The steering committee are P. Urban (Chair), A. Abizaid, A. Banning, A. Bartorelli, V. Dzavik, S.G. Ellis, R. Gao, D.Holmes, M.H. Jeong, V. Legrand, F. Neumann, C. Spaulding, S. Worthley . Furthermore a Clinical Event Committee existing of C. Naber, E. Barbato, L. Jensen, A. Chieffo, V.S. Srinivas, K. Sano was established for the registry. Data analysis was prepared by Cardialysis in Rotterdam, the database is Kika Medical in Nancy and monitoring was planned for 20% performed by Covance.
