Complex Lesions SUMMIT

Program Overview

DES’s are now employed widely in high-risk patients and complex lesions. These indications are very different from the simple de novo lesions and low risk patients enrolled in early clinical studies and now include the treatment of AMI patients.

During this summit, leaders in interventional Cardiology will convene to present their work, experiences, observations, and opinions in this challenging and unique field of DES.

 

Teaching Methods

Throughout the 2-day workshop participants will be involved in the review of the diagnostic images and the development of the strategy by which each patient will be treated. This might be percutaneous coronary intervention or referral to surgery.

 

Educational Objectives

The objective of these workshops is to promote best practices in complex lesions and reply to the increasing demand for further education in this area.

 

Audience

Participants at these meetings should have at least 2 years of experience in interventional cardiology and have personally treated at least 10 complex-lesion cases. Ideal group size for this meeting is 10 participants.

 

Duration

The scheduled program is a 2-day meeting. Arrival during the evening prior to the meeting may be required depending on travel arrangements.
